South Shore Wins 2012 SMARTBALL Classic

The very talented South Shore team gave us all a sneak preview of what to expect for the PSAL regular season, as they took the 2012 SMARTBALL Classic with a 62-51 win over Bayside.  South Shore defeated Bedford Academy in round 1, Paterson Eastside in the Quarterfinals, Christ the King in the Semi-Finals and then Bayside for the championship.

Tuesday night was a different flow at SMARTBALL as teams looked like they were being cool instead of showcasing their skillset early, and then the next thing you knew it was a track meet in typical NYC rim to rim fashion.

SMARTBALL Classic Day 2 - Cardozo's Jermaine Lawrence & Leroy Fludd of Boys & Girls Lead Their Teams To Victory

In Day 2 of the SMARTBALL Metro Classic's in Harlem, NY, Leroy Fludd poured in 21 points to lead Boys & Girls HS over Paramus Catholic, 73-70.  Elijah Davis was the leading scorer for Paramus with 28 points.
